Orlando Bloom Honored with Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

On Wednesday, 2nd April 2014, British actor, Orlando Bloom was awarded with his Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Bloom started his acting career with cameo roles in Brit TV series, Casualty back in 1994 & 1996. He then moved on with more cameo roles on other shows before getting his breakthrough role as the agile elf, Legolas in Peter Jackson’s film adaptation of Lord of the Rings in 2001. Bloom’s career then skyrocketed with other major roles such as Will Turner in Jerry Bruckheimer’s Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy alongside Keira Knightley and Johnny Depp, Drew Baylor in Cameron Crowe’s Elizabethtown, and Balien in Kingdom of Heaven. He has also starred in various theater productions with the latest in the Broadway adaptation of Romeo & Juliet by Don Roy King.

As a fan of Bloom’s since the early 2000’s it is a delight to witness such a ceremony, and wish him all the best with his career and hope that his career will continue to bloom.
