The Hangover Part II (2011)
Running Time: 102 minutes
Directed by: Todd Phillips
Starring: Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha
With a similar formula as the last installment, The Hangover sequel begins with Stu (Ed Helms) inviting Doug (Justin Bartha), Phil (Bradley Cooper) and Alan (Zach Galifianakis) to Thailand for the wedding. After planning for a quiet night on the beach with a bonfire, the gang along with Teddy (Mason Lee), Stu’s soon-to-be-brother-in-law, find themselves at shady apartment in Bangkok. However, Doug is still back at the hotel resort, while Teddy is missing, and none of them can remember any of the events from the previous night. So, Stu, Phil, and Alan have to retrace their steps in order to find Teddy before the wedding.
There’s nothing much that I could say about this film, but that it’s simply another R-rated comedy intertwined with some car-chase scenes. The only thing that’s different from this film and the previous one is the setting and in some ways, it’s a little lighter, but still as ridiculous as the previous one with bigger action sequences. The dialogues are still equally hilarious as the previous one.
